To change your address on your O2 account, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Sign in to My O2 account and choose the mobile number you want to change the address for.
  • On “My Device” page, select the “Bills” tab.
  • Select “Change my billing address” and the company will send a code to your device.
  • Enter the code and fill the form to change your address.

TIP: If you have set up a new account, you cannot change the address for the first 30 days.

  • Click on “Other email provider” >  click  “Advanced Options” > and select “My provider doesn’t support IMAP”.
  • Import from POP3 by adding your account to Outlook.com.
  • Click on “Advanced Options”.
  • Enter the server address of mail: “o2.co.uk”.
  • The port number is 110.
  • Uncheck “requires a secure connection (SSL)”.
  • Enter your username and the password.
  • Click on “Send emails using Outlook.com’s server”.
  • Click “Next”.
  • You can either choose “A new folder” or “Your Inbox”.
  • Click “Go to your inbox”.

It may take a couple of days for the email to show up on your “Outlook.com” account.

To transfer your contacts to Hotmail, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Sign in to your “My O2” account.
  • Click on “Online Address Book” from your O2 Webmail.
  • Go to “Settings” >  select “Export contacts”.
  • Click on “Export contacts”.
  • All your contacts will be exported into an Excel document.
  • Now sign into your “Hotmail account”.
  • Select “People” > select “Import from file”.
  • Click on “Hotmail account”.
  • Choose the file that you have saved and click on “Import contacts”.
  • Wait for the confirmation.

What to do at the time of a network problem?

If there is a network problem, you can check the “live network checker” to see if there is a current network issue causing the problem. Normally, the network problems are caused due to weather conditions and maintenance work. You can also download My Network app to check the coverage and confirm the company about any network problems.

How do I activate my new O2 sim?

You can activate your sim by clicking on the link: o2.co.uk/swapmysim. You can also message “SWAP” to 20220 to activate the new sim. While activating your sim, you will require the sim serial number, written at the back of your sim. The swapping process may take upto 24 hours. After this insert your new sim into your device and turn it “on”. If there is no signal, try turning your device “off” and “on” until you get the signal.
